Kathleen Principe, BS, R EEG/EP T, CLTM, CNIM was an inspired professional, recognized as a leader in her field of Neurodiagnostic Technology. She always loved helping those in need. When Kathleen met Dr. Espinosa and learned of the upcoming CIEN’s 1st to Tena Ecuador in 2009, she knew immediately that she had a calling to participate. Kathleen took the lead as an EEG tech and assisted in obtaining an EEG machine as well as donated a large amount of medical supplies from her own company. Bill Principe, her husband was key in the logistics and support to our mission. 

Upon returning from the 1st about CIEN and the Tena mission at the national A.S.E.T. meeting, exposing hundreds of EEG techs to her missionary work and inspiring many others to give back in any way they could. She was very passionate and excited about the future missions and planned to go every year. She was fortunate and blessed to attend the first three Neurological Missions in 2009, 2010 and 2011.  

In 2012 Kathleen was diagnosed with malignant melanoma, at the time she was preparing to go on the next Mission. She died in January 2013. Kathleen talked about how disappointed she was to not be able to go back to Tena on the 2012 mission as she was undergoing medical treatment of her own. Kathleen’s wonderful experiences with CIEN and the Neurological Missions to Ecuador were some of the proudest and most fulfilling times in her life.

Kathleen Principe , BS , R EEG / EP T, CLTM , CNIM fue un profesional inspirado, reconocido como un líder en el campo de Tecnología Neurodiagnostica . Le encantaba ayudar a los necesitados . Cuando Kathleen conoció al Dr. Espinosa y supo de la primera mision  a Tena Ecuador en 2009 , supo de inmediato que tenía un llamado a participar.

Kathleen tomó la iniciativa como  tecnologa de EEG y ayudo en la obtención de una máquina de EEG y dono una gran cantidad de suministros médicos de su propia compañía . En la Misión del 2009 , Kathleen realizo la primera presentación de de electroencegalografia en la region. Al regresar de la primera misión del Tena ella conto su experiencia  en la reunion anual de electroencefalografia (ASET), y expuso su colaboracion acientos de técnicos de EEG y pudo  inspirar a muchos a ayudar y donar. Ella era muy apasionado y entusiasta con las futuras misiones y planeaba ir todos los años . Ella tuvo la suerte y la bendición de asistir a las tres primeras misiones neurológicas en 2009, 2010 y 2011 .


En 2012 Kathleen fue diagnosticado con melanoma maligno , en el momento en que se estaba preparando para ir a la siguiente misión . Ella murió en enero de 2013, Kathleen habló de lo decepcionada que estaba a no ser capaz de volver a Tena en la misión de 2012 cuando estaba bajo tratamiento médico por su cuenta. Maravillosas experiencias de Kathleen con CIEN y las Misiones neurológicos a Ecuador fueron algunos de los momentos más orgullosos y más gratificantes de su vida .
